Brian Inglis

Brian Inglis is a singer/songwriter and very experienced, full-time musician based in Bristol. He has a wealth of performing experience under his belt with covers bands, swing bands and blues bands and as an original material performer.

In his time, he has toured, appeared on television and worked with many well-known artists of the time in major West End Hotels to the Mecca and Top Rank circuits to Village Halls and Festivals. He likes to engage with an audience and give a very professional performance.

His styles of music range from Pop to Country / Folk /Rock / Blues, Acoustic Blues and Jazz and his original material, which is in a similar genre. He can tailor his sets to meet (depending on the audience) most of whatever is required.

Brian is a long-standing and active member of Bmin. He has lectured at various colleges, providing a unique insight into the music business, and he has produced a twelve-part document entitled ‘A Career in Music?’ which is a no-holds-barred view of what it takes to get started and progress as a musician. Since 2013, he has also released five albums, an EP and several singles, all of which encapsulate his styles. Some of his music has been played on BBC Introducing and various radio stations across the West Country.

Comments about Bmin

I started going to BMIN over 10 years ago. It is a space where likeminded people can network, swap ideas, make new contacts and understand that as a musician your worries, fears and joys are the same as everyone else. It is also a place to share one’s successes, and it is not unheard of to get gigs as a result of the connections made. It can also be a place where you can have a say in Bristol’s nighttime economy which affects us as musicians.
