Bmin has been privileged to present many local and national speakers at our meetings, covering topics often requested by members themselves.

Hear from key industry speakers such as the MU, PRS and PPL, Bristol City Council, Google and music aggregators such as Tunecore and CD Baby, covering areas such as promotion, legal, accountancy, management and copyright.

We have hosted talks from successful local artists such as Rita Lynch, Kevin Brown and John E Vistic and long-standing successful artists and Bmin members such as Elles Bailey and Saskia Griffiths-Moore.

Elles discusses her career to date following her wonderful, anecdotal talk about songwriting at the December 2017 Bmin meeting. Interviewed by Roger Noble, 06/12/2017. In 2024 and 2025, she is on a European tour in her own right but also as supporting act for Jools Holland and Rag ‘n Bone Man. On Wednesday 15th April 2025, Elles won 3 awards at the UK Blues Federation Awards 2025, for Broadcaster of the Year, Blues Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for “Beneath the Neon Glow”.

In June our guest speaker was Saskia Griffiths-Moore, a talented local singer/songwriter. Her talk on Marketing and Social Media was extremely informative and well received. Here is a podcast of her interview with Roger Noble directly after the talk. Saskia has since moved to London to further her career and with great success, but we know she enjoyed her time at Bmin greatly and was a huge contributor.
