Louder Together

Eliza Fyfe

Originally from Buckinghamshire, Eliza showed a natural flair and passion for music at an early age. She started playing piano at 7 then started singing and songwriting into her teens. She plays and teaches by ear and holds a BA Hons Commercial Music Degree from Bath Spa University as well as Grade 8 Distinction in Rock School Vocals. With a soulful voice, her musical style has a jazz edge, focusing heavily on intricate harmonies.

Eliza’s mission is to get everyone singing! After being inspired by choirmaster Gareth Malone’s BBC programmes working in communities, she began by getting students together to form a choir at uni, then cut it down to an a cappella group, Chicapella, which is still going strong today. She also runs singing workshops at workplaces such RPC law firm and the BBC in Bristol.

Bristol Choir Brigade

http://www.bristolchoirbrigade.co.uk/

Bristol Choir Brigade is a community pop choir with an edge – we sing songs from a range of decades with the odd mashup here and there, and our choir director, Eliza, creates all the arrangements. Anyone with a voice can join; there are no auditions or sheet music. We learn songs by ear with mp3 guides to practice with at home. We have lots of socials and are a warm and welcoming bunch! We rehearse every Wednesday 7.15-9.15pm at Golden Hill Sports Club near Henleaze. If you’re a shower singer, we want you – come for a free taster!

Eliza is also in a few groups and bands, notably Eliza & The Pinstripes, her swing/jive band (singing lead vocals) who are regularly performing round the local music scene, as well as being a member of an audition choir, Bristol A Cappella, singing Alto in a group of about 30 singers.
