Maqam in Motion – Bristol Sessions
Can you help with a new music project? Bristol-based contemporary Oud player and composer Abdelhay El Haddad has reached out
My name is Moy McKayle and I manage the external partnerships and the industry placement schemes for the Department of Music at the University of Bristol. Next academic year we are launching a brand new professional development/placement unit called Professional Development in Music unit for our final year Undergraduate students.
I would like to connect with organisations and individuals who would benefit from the contribution of student volunteers. The scheme is a great opportunity for our students to share their skills and learn from experienced professionals in industry and contribute positively to projects and activities that support your work. The placement schemes are an opportunity for knowledge exchange and are intended to benefit both students and partners. There is a lot of scope for what the placement opportunities can be and our students interests are varied so I am happy to work with you to develop any initial ideas you have.
Key Information
If this sounds like an opportunity you’d like to get involved with please send an email to express your interest to sart-placements@bristol.ac.uk (before 31st August 2025) and I will schedule an initial online Teams meeting to tell you more about the scheme and discuss your initial ideas.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes
Moy McKayle (She/Her)
