Bmin are excited to let you know that the guys at MindHarp have refocused their technology into the world of web apps. This allows them to offer MindHarp activities on all platforms and develop customised content according to specific needs.
As they launch their new workplace wellbeing MindHarp programme, they would like to invite you to a 45 min lunchtime event at SquareWorks in Bristol introducing MindHarp and the science and understandings that drive its extraordinary ability to restore calm, clarity and creativity in minutes.
This event is free and of course open to any people you feel may be interested in participating. If appropriate, do forward this on or mention it to your HR/wellbeing officer or whoever looks after this area. Alternatively, let them know who they should contact. We know they would really appreciate your support/recommendations.

Special Bmin Monthly Meeting May 11th

We are delighted to announce a special Bmin Monthly Meeting at Bristol Beacon on Wednesday May 11th 2022 from 12pm till 2pm, 3rd floor Terrace Bar.

The meeting will focus on all aspects of Music Collaboration, with guest speaker Judge Singh of RSVP Bhangra.

Collaboration (noun) working with: where two or more people working together to create or achieve the same thing.

Come along to Bristol Beacon lunchtime on Wednesday 11th from 12pm and make some great connections to progress your music industry career.
Sandwiches and drinks are provided free of charge, including vegan and gluten free.
Our special guest speaker is Judge Singh of local festival stalwarts RSVP Bhangra.
Judge has been heavily involved in a cross-genre collaboration project in the past year with over 18 International artists from the US, UK, Europe, and India to create his debut album ‘NASCENT’.
Highlights from the album include songs from the wonderful Sheema Mukerjee (Transglobal Underground), SHIN (of DCS), Shruti Jain (Mumbai) and Jazz Delorean from Tankus The Henge. It also includes remixes from the amazing Dr Meaker, DJ Swami, and DJ Drez.
Over the past few months they have begun releasing singles and remixes from the Album.
The full NASCENT album will be released in June.
Judge will be sharing his experiences and learning from participating in such a diverse project – all online – and discussing the process of self-release and promotion.
Collaboration has been sited as a key element helping modern artists to grow their fan base and develop their style. Factors need to be considered such as copyright, but collaboration projects can be extremely rewarding for all parties.
So come along to Bristol Beacon, the home of Bristol Music, gain some insights and share your own experiences.

Our special guest speaker is Carly Heath, Bristol Night Time Economy Advisor. Carly will be discussing her role and sharing some of the plans the Mayor and City Council have in place. It will also be a chance for you to ask questions and highlight any issues you feel need to be addressed.
You will also get to hear about a great cross-genre collaboration project from Judge Singh of RSVP Bhangra.

BminLive Zoom meetings set to grow the network!

There is much to learn about hosting online meetings and boy did we learn a lot last Wednesday holding our first Bmin Zoom meeting! We see the online sessions as a great way to grow the network and attract a greater number of amazing speakers for you.
Thanks to everyone that attended and contributed, with a special thanks to our guest speaker Fay Morgan Hine.
Fay gave us a sneak preview of a fab new App for creatives to connect directly with their fan base without the need for complex and expensive websites. She will be attending the next Bristol Beacon meeting on Wed 3rd November to tell us all about it so come along.
Bmin are in discussion with Fay, wife of the legendary producer and performer Rupert Hine, to offer this new App to our members. We hope to share more about this with you in November.
As you can see opposite we had some fun too during the session. Our next Zoom meeting will be on 1st December at 6.30pm so look out for the agenda, spread the word and see you all there.

Bmin has recently been introduced to the Bristol Classical Guitar Society by Ciaran Elster, one of the members.
 
Ciaran has recently joined Bmin and can be found on the Facebook Group. We hope to meet up with some of the BCGS members when our monthly meetings return (soon we hope).
 
Bristol Classical Guitar Society’s mission is to promote and extend the profile of the classical guitar in the south west and to bring together players, makers, composers and enthusiasts of all levels. Our meetings include solo and ensemble practice and performance, seminars and masterclasses; our Concert Series presents internationally acclaimed performers. We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 7:45 pm (or 7.30 for pre-arranged group practise) at the Unitarian Meeting Hall, Brunswick Square, BS2 8PE. Membership costs £30 a year, those interested can attend one meeting without joining the Society so that they can then decide whether or not they would like to join. Members have the opportunity to perform solo and ensemble pieces in two annual Members’ Concerts which are open to the public and free of charge.
