Applications for auditions for this year’s Gareth Malone choir are now live! Please find attached a social media poster.
The organisers are looking for eight individuals that live within an easy commute of Cardiff, for rehearsal purposes and then for the final event. Ideally, they would need to commit to rehearsals, at least two a week from December through to January with a break over Christmas. Gareth Malone will be carrying out final auditions in early December.
They are looking for individuals from all walks of life who love to sing, but ideally have never sung in a classical choral choir.
As part of the application process, the applicant will need to record 30 seconds to 1 minute of them singing a song that really showcase their voice, as well as the first and second verse of the folk ballad ‘Scarborough Fair’, this must be unaccompanied! Links to versions of the song online can be found on the form, but there are A LOT of versions on the internet so have fun! After that it is just a quick application form.
